Jackie LevanJackie "Honey" Diane Townsend Levan, age 77 of Reno, Nevada passed away peacefully on January 24, 2017 at Renown Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Jackie was born on August 6, 1939 in Loyalton, California to Jack and Beatrice (Gustin) Townsend. Jackie's family moved to the Reno area in 1945. She went to grade school and junior high in Sparks and graduated from Sparks High School in 1958. Jackie met her husband, James Edward Levan in 1956 and they were married on September 7, 1957. Jackie worked at John Ascuaga's Nugget for 20 years. She also worked as a bookkeeper for two local companies in Reno. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, James, daughter baby Jackie, parents, Jack and Beatrice Townsend, sister Shirley Townsend Rees and brother Martin Townsend. Jackie is survived by her children: Cindy Levan, Diane Levan, James (Dawn) Levan, Linda Levan and AnnaMichelle Brittain; grandchildren: Martina (Joe) Cardillo, Heather (Mike) Morris, Jessi (Dan) Evans, Veronica Brittain, Marissa Levan, Cassandra Newton, Jamie Newton, and Jordan Levan ;great-grandchildren: Sabrina (Efren) Johnson, Alyssa Levan, Gabriel Levan, Jacob Nissel, Jack Jason and Charley Evans; and several nieces and nephews. Jackie was a sixth generation Rebekah and was a member of Nevada Rebekah Lodge # 7 of Reno. In her 60 years as a member, she held many offices most notably Noble Grand, District Deputy President and Rebekah Assembly President. Visitation will be on January 29, 2017 at 2 pm at Mountain View Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on January 30, 2017 at 10 am at Mountain View Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in memory of James and Jackie to Roseview ICU at Renown Health Foundation at 1300 Mill Street, Reno NV 89502.
