ROME CITY — Jackie R. Kwascigroh, age 51, died on Saturday, February 15, 2014, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, following a two-week illness. She was born on January 17, 1963 in Lima, Ohio, one of five children born to Walter Scott and Vonda Lea (Doe) Carpenter. She has lived in Noble County for the past 25 years, coming from Delphos, Ohio. She lived in Albion until 2007 before moving to Rome City. Ms. Kwascigroh was a quality technician at Tennaco in Ligonier for 25 years. She enjoyed going to casinos, playing bingo and spending time with her family and friends. Surviving are her son, Josh Kwascigroh of Rome City; a stepson John Mike (Sharon) Kwascigroh of West Palm Beach, Florida; a stepdaughter, Jessi Kwascigroh of Fort Wayne; two grandchildren, Nic Godsey and Lillian Kwascigroh; two brothers, William Carpenter of Rome City and Joseph Carpenter of Bowling Green, Ohio; and her sister, Kim R. Wagoner of Delphos, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Leslie Ann Rison. The Rev. Bret Frymier will conduct an evening funeral service on Thursday, February 20, 2014, at 7 p.m. at Brazzell Funeral home, Albion Chapel. Visitation will be from 2 until 7 p.m. on Thursday before the funeral at the funeral home. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2014, at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos, Ohio. Please make memorials to the Noble County Humane Shelter.
