Caskey, Jack SJack S. Caskey, age 71, a resident of Phelps, WI and formerly of Marshfield, WI, passed away on Sunday January 1, 2017 at St. Clare's Hospital in Weston, WI. Jack was born on August 20, 1945 in Wakefield, MI to John and Marie Caskey. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Northland College in Ashland, WI. He taught in Loyal, WI for over 30 years and received his Master's Degree from Viterbo University during that time. Jack retired to Phelps, WI where he was an avid sportsman. He enjoyed fishing, especially for musky, and entered many musky fishing tournaments. He also enjoyed hunting and fifth wheel camping with his wife: Sharon and their dog: Maggie. Above all, Jack loved to spend time with his wife, children and grandchildren. Jack was a member of the Phelps Snowmobile Club. He also served as Past President of the Church Council for the Phelps Congregational Church UCC and as an officer on the board for the Lac Vieux Desert Lake Association.He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother: Dan Caskey and his step-mother: Stella Caskey. Jack is survived by his wife: Sharon Caskey of Phelps, WI; son: Jackson (Tammy) Caskey of Dollar Bay, MI; daughter: Sabrina (Aaron) Hickson of Phelps, WI; sister: Anita Larson of DePere, WI; and grandchildren: Bobbi Jo and Jonathan. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday January 7, 2017 at the Phelps Congregational Church - UCC in Phelps, WI. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at church. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the church for new windows.
