Jack L. EllisCamarillo, CAJack L. Ellis went home on Monday, April 10, 2017. He was born on March 2, 1934 in Port Hueneme, California to Silas and Dee Ellis.Jack was raised in Ventura, where he graduated from Ventura High School and Ventura College. He worked for General Telephone Company until he was drafted into the U.S. Army. Jack served in the 279th Army Band in Poitiers, France. Jack married Sharon Miller on December 27, 1956, shortly before his departure to France. They enjoyed exploring and traveling while there.Jack returned to General Telephone Company upon returning home and remained until his retirement after 32 years. He excelled in sales, winning many awards for his successes. He was Regional Sales Manager and loved his work.Jack and Sharon raised two sons, were blessed with six grandchildren and their home was the hub of activities through the years. "Hotel Ellis" was always open and ready for all the overnighters. Jack loved his family dearly, and a close second was his love of the dogs and cats that were lucky enough to be in his care. He enjoyed nature and all critters, large and small.He is survived by his wife, Sharon; sons, Jeff and Chris (Becky); grandchildren, Courtney, Tyler (Kirsty), Lauren, Amanda, Brianna and Braydon; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jack is now having a heavenly reunion with his mom and dad, sister, Hazel and his brothers, Ernie and Ted."Death is nothing at all. I have only slipped away into the next room. I am I, you are you.
