Jack Brune Hammond passed away peacefully at home on January 20, 2017. Jack was born on September 3rd, 1947 in Marshfield, WI to Fred and Evelyn (Platten) Hammond. He spent his childhood on their family farm and enjoyed going to Michigan with his family growing up. Jack went in to the Navy and served as a cook for four years. His love for cooking stayed with him throughout his life. He was always in the kitchen and enjoyed cooking and baking for his family. On June 30, 1967 Jack was united in marriage to Dona Hoffman. They went on to have two children: Wendy and David. Jack spent time as a
police officer in Marshfield in his younger years, but most recently he spent 16 years working at Walmart. He took pride in his work and had a work ethic to admire. Jack was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Dona; daughter Wendy (Anthony) Deering; son David; beloved grandchildren: Britny, Mathew, Desirae and Jaden; his most loved great grandsons: Jabari and Amari; his sister Jill Henninger and many friends. Jack enjoyed being outside so to honor this, a memorial service will be held in the spring.
