JACK GLAND CHESTERTON, IN Jack Gland, age 83 of Chesterton, IN passed away on November 3, 2016. He was born on November 1, 1933 in Gary, IN to James and Doris (Johnson) Gland. Jack is survived by his wife of 63 years, Patricia (Gard) Gland; sons: Mark (Donna) Gland, Tim (Gabriele) Gland and Matthew (Jessica) Gland; daughters: Karen (Bob) Cunningham, Beth Grundell and Kelly (Craig) O'Brien; brothers: James (Helen) Gland, Wayne (Alice) Gland and Terry (Diane) Gland; sister, Diane Rader; grandchildren: Joseph (Jenny) and Alicia Grundell, Jacob (Ashley), Nathan and Nicole Gland, Zachary Cunningham, Alexandra and Cameron O'Brien; great grandchildren: Kyler and Blaze Grundell; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dennis Gland; and sister-in-law, Josephine Gland. Jack loved his family and the Lord. He was a lifelong Cubs fan, enjoyed reading and fishing, and was very active in his church. Jack retired from A.A.L./Thrivent Financial. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 106 E. 1100 N., Chesterton, IN 46304 with Rev. Erich R. Fickel officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Chesterton Cemetery.
