Rev. J.W. BennettBartlett, TNRev. J.W. Bennett, 90, of Bartlett, TN was ushered peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, December 7, 2016. He was born on January 21, 1926 to the late Thomas and Lillie Mae Bennett in Marked Tree, AR. Our Pawpaw was a devoted husband, wonderful father, and loving grandfather who leaves behind a rich heritage of godly influence. His life and ministry demonstrated to all his deep love and his rich faith in a God who desires to save those who are lost and heal those who are wounded. The affects of his miraculous faith and his dynamic ministry will live on in the lives of everyone who knows him. He enjoyed planting trees, yard work, telling stories, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his daughter Bonnie Cain; son Jerrel Bennett; sister Ona Smith; brothers Ralph Bennett and Paul Bennett; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers Grover and Thomas and sisters Nellie Sutherlan and Ruth Gaskin. Visitation will be Saturday, December 10 from 1-2pm with funeral services to follow at 2pm at Redemption City Church, 1130 Whitten Road, Memphis, TN.
