she was born to the late Richard and Nina Flannigan, August 2, 1945, in Long Beach, California.  Iris graduated from Rio Mesa High School in 1963 and received a BS in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame in 1967. She married the late Earl Flannigan in 1971, and they lived together in Oxnard, California before relocating to San Francisco in 1974.

Iris was an elementary school principal until she retired in 1994 and was passionate about affecting the most positive change in her students. After her retirement she started to travel around the world, visiting all the places shes wanted to see.

Iris will forever be missed and loved.
