Baine, Iola G.,Mrs. Iola Gay Baine, age 87, of Jeffersonville, IN, returned to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, December 27, 2016. Mrs. Baine was born on December 31, 1928 in Louisville, KY. She was a local entrepreneur in the bar and restaurant business. Among those who preceded her in death include, her husband, Harold Glenn Baine Sr.; parents, John and Lina Meredith; brother, Edward Meredith and sister, Mildred Meredith.She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Violet Faye Frye, Sherry Lynn Simmons and Harold Glenn Baine Jr. (Debbie); 10 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 4 great- great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 31, 2016 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with entombment in Evergreen Cemetery.
