Ian George Huck1960 – 2017It is with deep sadness that the family of Ian Huck announces his passing at the age of 56 years. He died at Sherbrooke Community Centre according to his wishes on Saturday, August 5, 2017. Ian was born on September 9, 1960 to Albert and Jean Huck in Saskatoon. Left to mourn are his sisters Marlene (Dave) Campbell of Neuanlage, SK, Jan (Pacy) Shulman of Toronto, Alison Skrepneck of Campbell River, BC and his special friend Delita Custer of Saskatoon. He is also survived by his niece Heather Barry (Bryan Warner) of Winnipeg, nephews Scott Campbell (Crystal) of Warman, SK, Aaron Shulman of Toronto, Shawn Skrepneck of Aarhus, Denmark and Casey Skrepneck of Victoria, BC, his great-nieces Adilyn Campbell and Gracy Warner, great-nephews Declan Barry, Nolan Barry, Lennox Campbell, Dylan Warner and Gracy Warner, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Albert and Jean, sister Elaine and brother-in-law Tom Skrepneck. Ian was a loving brother to his 3 sisters and friend to many wherever he went. His involvement with family, church and community were fundamental to his life. His outgoing, energetic and friendly personality was an inspiration despite his many lifelong challenges. He was recognized recently for working at Cosmo Industries for the last 35 years. It was very important to him that he go to work and be with his friends there. He lived at Sherbrooke for 13 years and was very much involved in the many activities and services offered there. He was part of the initial Insiders artist group. His art was a meaningful outlet for him and some of his pieces have been displayed in several art galleries over the years. The highlight of his year was spending his summer holidays at Camp Easter Seal. He went to camp almost every year for over 40 years. He will be greatly missed by those who loved and knew him. The Funeral service for Ian will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2017 in the Tawaw Centre at Sherbrooke Community Centre, 401 Acadia Drive beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place privately at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
