Howard Derrill Todd, 84, born on Feb. 23, 1932, in Colville, Wash., passed away on Feb. 1, 2017, in his home at Pelican Pointe Assisted Living in Klamath Falls, Ore. Howard was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Upon returning home, Howard met and married Shirley Williams and they went on to have four children. Howard was a "Jack of all trades." He worked as a "powder monkey" doing explosive work at Whiskey Town Lake, he owned and operated an 18-wheeler truck, driving long haul, mostly on the West Coast, and he owned and operated the Yellow Cab Co. in Klamath Falls for a number of years. In his later years, he enjoyed fishing and his most precious enjoyment was visits from his great-grandkids. We would like to extend a very special thank you for the care Howard received from both Pelican Pointe Assisted Living and High Desert Hospice. He is survived by his son Howard E. Todd and his wife Wanda of Joplin, Mo.; daughter Terri Poore and her husband Jim of Klamath Falls; son Bryan Todd and his wife Heidi of Carthage, Mo.; and son, Daryl Todd and his wife Sandee of Panama City, Fla. Howard also had nine grandchildren Howard, Crystal, Jim, Heather, Toni, Morgan, Ashley, Courtney and Taylor and 13 great-grandchildren, including one on the way. A private service will be held.
