BUTTERFIELD, Howard AlbertHoward passed away peacefully at College Park Retirement Residence in Regina, SK on Sunday, February 5, 2017. Howard was predeceased by his wife Doreen Butterfield; parents James and Jean Butterfield; and brother Steward Butterfield. Howard is survived by his siblings Shirley Jensen of Glendon, AB, Wayne (Pat) Butterfield of Dugald, MB, Ron Butterfield and Greg (Cindy) Butterfield of Kronau SK; and several nieces and nephews. Howard was born on August 24, 1950 in Neepawa, MB. Howard lived in Gimli, MB, Gillam, MB, Thunder Bay, ON, Winnipeg, MB and Sioux Narrows, ON before making Regina his home. Howard and Doreen married on September 27, 1975 and enjoyed a full life together. Together they started a business in 1982, Independent Lift Truck Service Ltd. Howard and Doreen spent many hours outdoors and at their cabin at Echo Lake. They were always looking for ways to spread kindness to others. Special memories include Christmas hay rides, snowmobiling, curling bonspiels, making a skating rink on the lake, summer lake parties of tubing, barbecues and fireworks, fishing with his brother-in-law Morris, and racing cars at Kings Park Speedway. He won several racing championships and he held the position of President for a term. Howard had a special love for children and dogs. Howard and Doreen had several black Labrador dogs in their life that brought them incredible joy. Howard took pride in his yard, planted bright red flowers and always had an immaculate lawn. He could cook a steak like a pro. He was also a very good ballroom dancer in his younger days. There will be no formal funeral service. A private interment for immediate family will take place at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined, those wishing may make a donation in memory of Howard to the Regina Humane Society, P.O.
