Born into a slave family, she learned the hard ways of life and how to make the best out of any situation. We can all take a lesson from Hetty's book and learn how to get through rough times, no matter how impossible they might seem. Her story also shows us how there will always be something or someone to bring us out of our dasrk times, as long as we have hope we can achieve we dream of.
