Valdivia, Henry R. Jr. Age 90, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2016. He was born on June 23, 1926 to Henry R. Valdivia Sr. and Patsey Pogue in Phoenix, Arizona. He and his brother were raised by their grandparents Santiago and Margarita Valdivia. When Henry and Ernie were 16 and 17 years old, they enlisted in the Navy. They were both Navy Seaman 1st class in WWII - serving their country form 1942-1944. Henry worked as a presser for Prestige Cleaners for many years until his retirement. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Georgina G. Valdivia "Lonie." He is survived by his three children Henry R. (Geri) Valdivia III "Hank," Robert (Connie), Bertha (Jim), and his brother Ernie Valdivia and his family of California. He was a loving papa to 8 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. The Valdivia Legacy will live on in all of us. A Celebration of Life will be held for Henry at 11am, Wednesday, December 14th, 2016 with a 10:30am visitation prior at Funeraria del Angel Greer Wilson Chapel 5921 W. Thomas Rd. , Phoenix, Arizona 85033. A 12:30pm burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery 10045 W. Thomas Rd, Avondale, Arizona 85323.
