Henry L. Barrows, Jr. passed away peacefully January 27th with his loving wife and family at his side. Henry was born on April 23, 1929 in Norwood, Mass. to the late Henry L. Barrows, Sr. and Lena Howe Barrows. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Edith Pettis Barrows; a sister, Betty Norton of E. Walpole, MA; four children, Peter and wife Maura of Walpole, Mass., Karen Fowler of Danville, Va., Mark and wife Liz of Attleboro, Mass., and Wendy and husband Leo Brennan of E. Walpole, Mass.; six grandchildren, Kevin Hurley, Stephen Barrows, Peter M. Barrows, Scott Brennan, Sean Brennan and Patrick Fowler, and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Henry, also known as Hank, worked most of his adult life as a truck driver with Quinn Freight Lines of Brockton, Massachusetts and was a member of the Teamsters Union. After retiring from Quinn Freight Lines, he continued to work part time until the young age of 79. Needless to say, he was a hardworking man who was always active until his health declined 2 years ago. While words cannot express how much he will be missed by his family and many friends, he left those whose life he touched with indelible memories of the great man he was. The family would like to thank everyone for their condolences and heartfelt prayers. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, Walpole.
