Hazel ToungetChristovalHazel Tounget, 100, of Christoval, passed away on Thursday June 29, 2017 in Bronte, Texas. She was born on Aug. 5, 1916 to Herbert Earl and Jessie (King) Wade in Ballinger, Texas. Hazel married Zach Tounget on June 8, 1935, in Ballinger. She and Zach moved to Christoval in 1955 where she was a member of the Christoval United Methodist Church. Family and friends were Hazel's passion and delight. She was excited that she got to celebrate her 100th birthday with those she loved. She also enjoyed quilting, sewing, crocheting, painting and pottery. She loved flowers and could make anything grow.She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Zach Tounget, son, Billy Tounget, son in law, John Fillip and a granddaughter, Arlene Tounget and two brothers, four sisters. Hazel is survived by her children, Pat Fillip of Carlsbad, Texas; Jerry Don Tounget of San Angelo, Jesse Ken Tounget and wife, Joyce of Christoval, Ricky Allen Tounget of Christoval; daughter in law, Charlotte Tounget of Bronte, Texas.; sister in law, Queenie Wade of San Angelo; 11 grandchild, 16 great grandchilden, four great-great-grandchildren and her loving nieces, nephews and numerous other relatives. Funeral service is at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Rev. Jim Bush, officiating. Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 3, 2017 in Christoval Cemetery.
