Harvey Cardwell, Sr.1958-2016Harvey Cardwell, Sr., a native of Pensacola, passed away at the age of 58 on Sat., Dec. 10, 2016.He was born on March 25, 1958 to the late Daniel and Pauline Countryman Cardwell. Harvey was an automotive mechanic and later became a real-estate agent, where he became top sales producer for many years. His favorite hobby, in his free time, was to go fishing. He was an active member of Marcus Pointe Baptist Church for over 20 years. He was very involved with the Men's Barn Meeting and is considered to be the church MacGyver. He was always saying "I can fix everything but a broken heart…for that, we go to God." Harvey was always putting others before himself, and considered everyone to be a part of his family. He brought his extended families, the Countrymans and the Cardwells together every July for a family reunion. He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Jamey Meuse and Timothy Jude.Harvey is survived by his two children, Harvey (Carlie) Cardwell, Jr. and Miranda Cardwell; three grandchildren, Adalia and Amelia Beaulieu and Wilson Cardwell; six siblings, Jean (Russell) Bell, Mike (Annie) Cardwell, Spurgeon (Melinda) Cardwell, Teresa Williams, Jacki Cardwell Jude and Kay (John) Gagliano; sister in law, Julie Meuse; special cousin, Earl McKinney; best friend, Mina Enfinger; former in laws, Frank and Carolyn Shields; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Fri., Dec. 16, 2016 at Marcus Pointe Baptist Church with Pastor Gordon Godfrey officiating. Burial will follow services at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Cemetery.The family will receive friends at 9:30 a.m. prior to services at the church.
