MemphisHarmon, Harry William,83, of Memphis, Indiana, passed away on Saturday evening, December 31, 2016. He was a United States Army veteran and retired from IMI Concrete. Harry was a devoted husband and had a passion for American Quarter horses. He was born on October 6, 1933 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Curtis and Helen (Wening) Harmon. Harry was also preceded in death by his sister, Jean Kotheimer. Harry is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Suzanne (Receveur) Harmon; siblings, Frances White, Alan Harmon (Anne); sisters and brothers-in-law, Dr. Robert Receveur (Diana), Dr. Paul Receveur (Ann), Mary Lou Pate, Carol Lewis; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 2 PM to 8 PM on Friday, January 6, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Saturday after 11 AM. Harry's Funeral Service with military honors will take place at 1 PM on Saturday in the chapel at the funeral home with cremation to follow. A celebration of Harry's life will be held at a later date.
