Harold D. Richards, 71, a resident of Silvercreek Terrace, St. Marys, and formerly of 563 Brandycamp Road, Kersey, died on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at UPMC Hamot Hospital in Erie following a lengthy illness.He was born on September 5, 1943, in Brookville, a son the late Gerald "Jack" and Virginia "Bootsie" Uplinger Richards.Mr. Richards was a lifelong  resident of the area and graduated from Brookville High School.  He retired from Motion Control after more than 37 years of service.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and using his metal detector.  He also enjoyed local history, especially reading books about the area.  Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.He is survived by: Two daughters, Heather Stauffer, St. Marys and Paula (Donald) Gasbarre, Johnsonburg; Son Brian Richards and his fiance Carolyn Meiser, Kersey; Four grandchildren - Shannon Stauffer, Tony Stauffer, Evan Richards & Erika Meiser; Two great grandchildren - Connor Tymczyszyn and Daniel Stauffer and one great grandchild on the way: Brother: Gene Richards, Brookville; Sisters Emily (Jim) Bullers, Mayport, Jane (Fred) Miller, Brookville and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Richards and a sister, Rose McMillan.Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Friday, July 31, 2015 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Funeral Services for Harold D.
