Harold A. ThibodeauxLAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017 at an 11:30AM Service of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette for Harold A.Thibodeaux, age 78, who passed at Courtyard Manor in Lafayette surrounded by his family. Interment will be in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Scott.Reverend Gary Schexnayder, Pastor of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Lafayette will be the Celebrant of the Funeral and will conduct the funeral services. Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane (Jean) Morvant Thibodeaux; one daughter, Tanya Thibodeaux; two sons, Glenn Paul Thibodeaux and his wife Sheila and Michael Todd Thibodeaux and his wife Monique; four grandchildren, Leah Thibodeaux, Blaine Thibodeaux, Jamison Thibodeaux and Jonathon Thibodeaux.He was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson Thibodeaux and the former, Bernice Price; a sister, Eve Moody and his identical twin brother, Gerald Joseph Thibodeaux.Mr. Thibodeaux was born on June 23, 1938 and was a lifelong resident of Lafayette, Louisiana. He was a veteran of military service and proudly served his country as a member of the United States National Guard. Mr. Thibodeaux had a long career that spanned more than 45 years as a sheet metal craftsman. After his retirement, he enjoyed fishing and was an avid bourré player. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him. Pallbearers will be Glenn Paul Thibodeaux, Michael Todd Thibodeaux, Jamison Thibodeaux, Jonathon Thibodeaux, Blaine Thibodeaux, Dr. Brian Granger and Kenny Granger.The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN location on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
