Grace E. Roybal, 59, entered Heaven's Gate in Albuquerque on Friday May 16, 2014 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on Jan. 10, 1955 in route to Las Vegas from Gallinas Canyon to the late Luis and Domitilia (Tillie) Roybal. Waiting to reunite with their beloved Grace are two sisters, Agnes Roybal Hern and Mary Hern. Her nephews, Randy Roybal, Charles Rodarte, Archie Roybal and GeneKelly Hern will guide her safely into the arms of Jesus. Grace, the youngest of nine, grew up in Gallinas Canyon amongst immediate and extended family. She never had children of her own so her mothering spirit was bestowed upon her nieces and nephews. She adored them as they did her. In life, Grace was known for her generous smile, her caring spirit, and her friendly demeanor. She had a strong work ethic and was an integral part of the Las Vegas community. She will be truly missed by many. She touched the lives of many significantly.Left to cherish her memory are her brother, Pete Roybal and spouse, Melba, of Las Vegas; brother, Willie Roybal and spouse, Patsy, of Las Vegas; sister, Corrine Rodarte and spouse, Carlos, from Las Vegas; brother, Tony Roybal and wife, Lorraine, from Las Vegas; brother, Santiago Roybal and spouse, MaryAlice, from Albuquerque; and brother, David Roybal and spouse Thelma, that reside in Colorado Springs, Colo. Grace embraced all her nieces and nephews and they did her. Special nieces and nephews include: Kenneth Roybal and partner, Anthony DeMarnello, Anthony Roybal, Christine Rodarte, Carla Rodarte Sanchez, Deanna Roybal, Dorrie Gurule, and Crystalrae Rodarte Romero. Lifelong friend, Maria Lopez-Perea, is also among the special people in Grace's earthly existence. Special friends, Mercy López, Rita Garcia, Mary Quintana, and Ray Baca. Grace E. Roybal will be missed by many. For those that experienced how special she really was, she will continue to live on in their hearts. She most assuredly was an amazing Grace.Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 403 Valencia in Las Vegas, with Father Robert Peccatiello officiating. Interment will follow at Santo Niño Cemetery in Gallinas, with the following serving as pallbearers: Maria Lopez-Perea, John Charles Romero, Clarissa Antrillo, Gene Kelly Hern, and Crystalrae Rodarte Romero.
