Dunham, Gloria Carol LueckGloria Carol Lueck Dunham, 71, passed away on October 29, 2017 in Jacksonville, FL after a long battle with cancer.Gloria was born on December 29, 1945 in Wausau, WI. She graduated from Grady Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Atlanta, GA with their first integrated nursing class in 1967. She started her nursing career as an ER nurse at South Fulton Hospital in Atlanta, GA where she met some of her best friends. She had a long, successful career in nursing working at hospitals in Atlanta GA, Sarasota FL, Berea OH and Jacksonville FL where she touched thousands of lives. She received her Master of Arts Degree in 2005 and Master of Nursing in 2013. Gloria's most rewarding role was educating, training and supporting future nurses at Chamberlain College. She retired in 2016.Gloria was passionate about teaching. She remained dedicated in her work and in her will to fight cancer. She was a generous individual who loved spending time with her family, friends and dogs. Her family and friends remember her as a best friend, confidant, advisor and mentor. She loved God, had a strong faith and was an active member of Victory Lutheran Church of Jacksonville FL.Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Willys Lueck and Lucille Leffel Lueck. She is survived by her sons, Christopher M Dunham and Richard W Dunham (Kristin Allen); three sisters, Dottie Kreuser (Jim), JaCalyn Kasten and Jonelle Copeland; and many aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.There will be a memorial service honoring Gloria on Friday November 3rd, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Victory Lutheran Church in Jacksonville FL.
