Riehl, GlennGlenn J. Riehl, age 72, died suddenly on Friday, October 28, 2016. Glenn was born on April 25, 1944 in Milwaukee, WI the son of Gordon and Lorraine Riehl. He lived in Shiocton all his life. Glenn served three years in the Army, if it had wheels, he could drive it. He then spent the majority of his working career at Appvion (formerly Appleton Papers). Glenn was united in marriage to Karen Samuel in September of 1966. She preceded him in death in June of 1988. Glenn was united in marriage to Marion Tyrrell on May 4, 1991 and they celebrated 25 years of marriage. Glenn enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, playing with Tiger, watching the Badgers, Brewers and Packers, snowmobiling and NASCAR, although it was never the same for him after #3 left the race. He enjoyed working for and attending the Shiocton Fly-In. He was proud of his family, especially his grandchildren, his lawn and his meticulously organized garage.In his younger years Glenn enjoyed fast pitch softball, fishing (aka violating), bowling, playing cards, camping at Kastle Kampground and hunting at the Boar's Nest. Glenn is survived by his wife, Marion Riehl, Shiocton; sons, Gordon (Karla) Riehl Shiocton, Tim (Kim) Riehl Shiocton; grandchildren, Jacob (fiancé, Cassi) Riehl and Alycia (special friend, John) Riehl Madison, Trelee and Katelyn Riehl Shiocton; brother, Kieth (Kris) Riehl Shiocton; sisters and brothers in-law, Sue (Larry) Joos Caroline, WI, Linda Patzlaff Oshkosh, Lorretta (Len) Bellile Fremont; nieces and nephews, Jason Patzlaff, Minneapolis, Ben Joos Tigerton, Dan (Stacie) Riehl, Shiocton, Sarah (Jared) Spaulding, Shiocton, Robin Roloff-Bleick, New London, Travis and (Mandy) Roloff, New London, Kirk (Beth) Roloff, New London, Deb (Tim) Lambie, Hortonville, Donna (Dean) Hoewisch Hortonville,Denise (Tom) Griesbach, Hortonville, Tom (Kris) Riehl Hortonville, Chad Riehl, Hortonville. He is further survived by numerous other relatives and friends.Glenn is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Karen Riehl; father and mother in-law, Kenneth and Mercelese Tyrrell; brother, Ralph Riehl; sister, Suzanne Roloff; niece, Wanda Claussen; and brother in-law, David Patzlaff.The Christian Funeral for Glenn will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at 11:30 a.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church, Shiocton, WI with Rev. Brad Ragner officiating. Family and friends are invited to visit directly at church Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Military honors will be held.
