Glen Thomas Sr.DELAVAN - Glen R. Thomas Sr, 75, of Delavan passed away at 10:21 a.m. Monday, January 30, 2017, at his home.He was born on October 1, 1941, in Versailles to Ivan W. and Viola F. Prunty Thomas. He married Ingrid of Lish, Germany, on July 20, 1961, in Jacksonville, and she survives.Also surviving are one son, Glen R. "Bob" (Rhonda) Thomas Jr. of Creve Coeur; one daughter, Monika (Donnie) Severns of Mason City; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Nora (Donald) Smith of Temple, TX.He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Carl Thomas.Glen was an engineer for Chicago Northwestern Railroad for 17 years and owned and operated Thomas Construction in Versailles for many years.He served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1961.He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed hunting, fishing and reading his Bible.His funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, February 2, 2017, at Delavan Baptist Church. Jeffrey Vogelzang and Greg Willert will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 to 11:15 a.m. Thursday, also at the church.
