Rev. Gerry L. Smith, 69, of Annapolis died at home on Thursday, January 26, 2017, following a lengthy battle with cancer and went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was born on July 19, 1947 in Hagerstown, MD. He was the pastor of South River Bible Church for the last 46 years. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jami. He is survived by his wife, Deannie of 49 years, his son Jason (Joanna) and daughters Jodi (Jeremy) Simpkins, Jenee (Jeff) Parrish and Juli (Luke) Railsback and 14 grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 29th from 7PM to 9PM at South River Bible Church in Davidsonville, MD. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 11th, at 3 PM at South River Bible Church. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to GIST Support International, Juvenile Diabetes or MADD Maryland in lieu of flowers.
