Berg, Gerald H.Gerald (Jerry) H. Berg Jr., age 69, of Kewaunee died unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 with his family by his side, after forty-three years of complications from diabetes and heart disease. He was born on May 13, 1947 in Kewaunee to Helen (Barta) and the late Gerald H. Berg Sr. He graduated from Kewaunee High School in 1967 and then from N.W.T.C. in Appleton for auto mechanics. He married Jean Vogeltanz on June 22, 1968 at St. Lawrence Church, Stangelville, WI. He was a member of St. Therese Parish. Jerry and Jean farmed in the Town of West Kewaunee for forty years and also worked at Kewaunee Fabrications for twenty-five years and was a member of Local 487 Boilermakers Union. He loved farming, snowmobiling, hunting and restoring old equipment, such as his show truck "Yellow Fever". Jerry also had an enormous love for the time he spent with his four grand children, as well as family and friends.He is survived by his wife Jean of 48 years, one son and two daughters; Craig and (Annie) Berg; Kelly and (Kelly F.) Kowaleski; Tina and (Jeff ) Vlies. Four grandchildren, Alyssa and Ashley Berg; Coy and Sara Vlies. He is further survived by his Mother, Helen Berg and sister, Arlene Berg. Two brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law; Gary and (Margie) Vogeltanz; Jeff and (Lori) Vogeltanz along with nieces and nephews. Three God Children; Kari Woolley, Kathy Marcusen, and Brian Vogeltanz.He is proceeded in death by his father Gerald H. Berg Sr.; mother and father-in-law, Sylvester and Margie Vogeltanz; sister-in-law Delores Vogeltanz.Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 11:30 am Saturday, December 31 by Fr. Dennis Drury, assisted by Dcn. Bob and Christal Wavrunek.
