George S. Knorovsky1936 - 2016George S. Knorovsky, 80, of Twin Lakes, Wis., died Friday, July 15, 2016, at his home.Geoge Stephen Knorovsky was born on April 23, 1936, in Chicago, Ill., the son of the late John and Mary Lunter Knorovsky. On Sept. 1, 1956, in Strickland, Wis., George was united in marriage to Nancy Louise Romanowski. They lived in Chicago until moving to Twin Lakes over 30 years ago.George served as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corp from May 1, 1953, until discharge on April 30, 1955. He served overseas and received the National Defense Service Medal. He worked as a pipefitter for the Pipefitter's Union Local 597 in Chicago, Ill. He was a member of the Wilmot Masonic Lodge, the Twin Lakes American Legion Post #544, the Twin Lakes VFW Post #11279 and the Twin Lakes Sportsman's Club. He enjoyed hunting and guns and played the concertina.George is survived by his wife, Nancy; three daughters, Judith (Gerald) Trybula of Oak Lawn, Ill., Karen (John) Grode of Bruce, Wis., and Kristine (Greg) Saucerman of Elkhorn, Wis.; 13 grandchildren, John, Gerald, Elizabeth, Amy, Sarah, Rachael, Jillian, Joshua, Jennifer, Zachary, Jamie, Jacob and Edward; three great grandchildren, Alexia, Nikolai, and John Anthony; two sisters, Marianne Cronin of New Lenox, Ill., and Dorothy Zapp of Chicago, Ill.He was preceded in death by a brother in law-Robert Cronin, Sr.Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home and Crematory, 620 Legion Dr. Twin Lakes, WI. Interment with Military Honors will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Weyerhauser, WI.
