George Ernest MontoyaNovember 29, 1947October 1, 2017Montoya, George Ernest passed away October 1, 2017 at the age of 67. He was born on November 29, 1947. He loved our country and served in the Army in VIETNAM, 70-71. Received a Bronze Star and other medals. Was married to Geraldine for 27 years. He worked for the Airline Industry for over 35 years. He was Director of Support Operations/Logistics Support. His job took him to many states where he took up residency. Last residency was Reno, Nevada. He sang, wrote and played music. He had a great appreciation for all types of music. He is survived by sister (Alice Ruth), brother-in-law (Walt), Nephew (Eric), Niece (Michelle) and great Niece (Jaydin) and other nephews, nieces and cousins. George will be greatly missed by family and friends. He will be laid to rest, with full military honors, at Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery Fernley, Nevada on November 6, 2017, 1pm.
