Gary CardwellKnoxville, TNGary Wayne Cardwell, age 69, passed away at home peacefully into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 25, 2017. Mr. Cardwell was born on April 3, 1947 in Knoxville, Tennessee to Robert and Thelma Cardwell. He married the love of his life Deborah Cardwell on July 24, 1967. They raised two children, Lisa Ann Cardwell and Gary Wayne Cardwell, II. Before retirement Gary started working at the young age of twelve at Doc Coxes Broadway Pharmacy. He then went on to be a former Regional Manager for Hostess Cake Kitchen, a former assistant Manager for the Council of the Blind and ended his career at Second Harvest Food Bank. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and working at the flea Market where he had many friends. He was a member of Dutch Valley Baptist Church and former member of Glen Oak Baptist Church. Gary is survived by his wife, Deborah; son, Gary; daughter, Lisa Myers, and his loving grandchildren, Ashley, Christopher, Dylan, Austin, Cody, and George Cardwell.The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 27, 2017 at Dutch Valley Baptist Church (909 Dutch Valley Drive, Knoxville, TN 37918) with Rev. Charlie Reynolds officiating.
