Gosz, FredrickaFritzi Gosz, 75, Menasha, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton. She was born on October 30, 1941, in Appleton, daughter of Kenneth and Charlotte (Campbell) Schmirler. Fritzi was united in marriage to Donald Gosz on April 22, 1961, at St. Joseph's Church in Appleton. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Parish, Menasha. Fritzi was an astounding baker and candy maker. She found endless joy in creating delectable treats for countless friends and family over the holidays. Fritzi loved to travel, one of her greatest joys was being chosen with Don to appear on the Love and Marriage game show while celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on a cruise with the entire family. She also loved to gamble, whether it be on a cruise ship or just to Oneida, she had a knack for picking the "hot" machine and reveled in the sound of the ching-ching. Fritzi loved her two cats, Gidget and Licorice, and all things sparkly but her greatest love of all was for her family. She will be remembered for her devotion to her husband, children, and grandchildren. Especially remembered for the generous support she gave to her husband throughout her life, both on and off the court, as well as her children's careers and her grandchildren's many activities. Fritzi is survived by her adoring husband: Don; 4 loving children: Gary (Judy) Gosz, Denver, CO; Jim (Maribeth) Gosz, Milwaukee; Mike (Wendy) Gosz, Milwaukee; and Kari (Mike) Coulthard, Neenah; 10 devoted grandchildren: Amanda (Jimmy) Coll, Meghan, Ben, Joe, Anthony, Kayla, Jenna, and Hunter Gosz, Sam Coulthard, and Danica Gosz; a brother: Jim (Carol) Schmirler; and many other relatives and friends.Fritzi was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister: Antoinette "Toni" Reetz.Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 3, 2016, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 528 Second St., Menasha, with Fr. Paul Paider officiating. Visitation will be Saturday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are greatly appreciated to Dominican High School, 120 E. Silver Spring Dr., Milwaukee, WI 53217. Fritzi's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire Emergency Room, ICU, and 4th Floor Oncology staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton, as well as a special thank you to Dr. Timothy Goggins and Dr. Brian Kiesnowski for their wonderful care.
