Freddie McCorkle was born on August 25, 1941 in Brooklyn, New York. He was the son of the late William and Cleo Woodard.
After high school, he met his wife Louise McCorkle, they married and were blessed in their union of holy matrimony for forty seven years before she passed away. In 1980, Freddie decided to start his own business. He opened up a restaurant named "Freddie's Rib House" in Brooklyn, NY. His slow cooked, fall off the bone ribs made his business boom, and he became very sucessful. Freddie was well known, and loved by everyone who crossed his path. He was witty, ambitious, and very generous. He was a true hustler, who always made sure he provided for his family and close friends. Freddie instilled in his children many valuable life lessons. He taught them to be strong and independent. He often stated "This world isn't made for the weak, only the strongest survive."
He departed peacefully on Wednesday, April 29, 2020.
