Fred WoestendiekNEW ALBANY: Fred Woestendiek, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Whetstone Care Center, surrounded by his family. He was born on July 13, 1930 in Saugerties, New York to the late William A. and Alice C. Woestendiek. A veteran, who served during the Korean War, with the United States Army. He and his wife Jane are members of Mifflin Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Jane Woestendiek; daughters Crystal A. (John D.) Engle, Victoria J. (G.Steven) McElfresh, Tracy L. Woestendiek and Daphne J. (Matthew J.) Yost; grandsons Michael F. and Nicholas S. Engle, Joseph A. and James H. Yost; brothers William J. (Bonnie) Woestendiek and Eugene C. (Adrienne) Woestendiek; many nieces, nephews and their families; first wife Louise E. Smith; and many loving friends. Family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Road in Gahanna, where his Funeral Service will be held at 10am, Thursday, January 23, 2014.
