Fred C. KillamFred C. Killam, a longtime resident of Gonzalez passed away on Nov. 2, 2017 with his family at his side. Fred was born on Sept. 11, 1926 and married the love of his life Gwendolyn S. Killam in Jan. of 1948. His family included four children, Donna Christopher, Joan Masters, Martha Luppert and Freddy Killam, their spouses, grand and great grandchildren. He served his country during
WWII in the Navy and had a special love for the Gonzalez community. He helped establish the Gonzalez Water Utilities, contributed to the expansion of Gonzalez Baptist Church (GBC), where he and Gwen worshiped for over sixty years. Fred retired from St. Regis after his employment of over 35 years. Once retired, he enjoyed golf, woodworking, cutting his grass and could repair almost anything. Fred loved sports and cheered on his favorite college football team The Alabama Crimson Tide…ROLL TIDE! A celebration of Fred's life will be Nov 7, 5-7 PM at Faith Chapel North, 1000 Hwy 29S, Cantonment, FL. Funeral services will be Nov 8, at 11:30 AM at Faith Chapel North.
