Turner, Franklin Delano Franklin Delano Turner, age 80, passed away on December 13, 2016 after a long battle with Parkinson's. Frankie was born on November 11, 1936 in Pound, Virginia, but lived most of his life here in Albuquerque. He loved to fish, whether it be salt water or fresh, and spent many happy hours boating and fishing at Elephant Butte, salmon snagging on his houseboat at Navajo Lake, and fishing the Gulf of Mexico. His brave, generous, and humorous spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Frankie is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Lynda; daughters, Rena Treacher and husband, Eric, and Riki Bronstein; grandsons, Jacob and Jon Bronstein; brother, Doug Turner and wife, Peggy; sister, Nagatha Himel and husband, Webb; as well as a host of family and friends who loved him dearly. A private gathering to celebrate Frankie's life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to an animal in Frankie's name.
