Verhagen, FrankFrank W. Verhagen, age 74, Shiocton, passed away with his family by his side on Saturday, November 12, 2016, after a long battle with lung cancer. He was born on August 5, 1942, in Appleton son of the late Frank M. and Helen (Wilson) Verhagen. He graduated from Kimberly High School in 1960. He served in the US Army from 1960-1963. On February 14, 1997, Frank was united in marriage to Jane Ring at Messiah Lutheran Church, Shiocton. He worked his entire life in HVAC Industry retiring from Bouchers Heating and Cooling. Frank was an avid hunter especially passionate about goose hunting. He also enjoyed camping, golfing, woodworking, ice-fishing, flying his airplane and riding on his lawn mower.Frank is survived by his wife Jane; children: Frank (Karla) Verhagen; Kristi Verhagen Fioravanti; Terri Singletary; Ron Verhagen; Troy Schuh; step-sons, Daniel (Shelly) Drexel and Zachary (Kim) Mulder; grandchildren: Andrea and Anthony Verhagen, Andrew and Kyle Fioravanti, Kiara Drexel, and Trinity, Elijah and Haddie Mulder; sisters, Janet Fiedler; Ginger (Lyle) Van Dyn Hoven and Sharon (Edmund) Spang. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.His parents, a brother Richard and a sister Nancy preceded him in death.Funeral services for Frank will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Marcus Schulz officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Town on Lebanon.The family would like to thank Hospice nurse Christina for her kindness and compassion as well as the CNAs at ThedaCare at Home.In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
