Francis "Frank" R. Scott,86, of South Windsor, passed away on October 27, 2016 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Frank was born on September 24, 1930 in New York City. He was the loving son of the late Frank and Dorothy (O'Brien) Scott. He was predeceased by his loving wife Lucille (Dinolfo) Scott, his first wife Gertrude (Arndt) Scott and his stepsons George and Michael Arndt and John E Fornuto. Frank is the loving father of Thomas Scott of NY; Robert Scott of FL; Sheila Frei and her husband Bernd of Germany; as well as the loving stepfather of Anthony Fornuto and his wife Diane of South Windsor; Michael Fornuto and his wife Karen of Bristol; Anne Marie Ayling of NY; Lisa Swanson and her husband Jim of Wolcott. Frank is also survived by his brother John Scott and his wife Moira; 17 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; along with several great nephews and nieces. Frank served our country in the United States Army as Military Police and was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in South Windsor. For the past fifty years Frank worked with various school bus companies with dispatch management. Calling hours are being held on Monday, October 31, 2016 from 5 to 8 pm at Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi Church at 10 am leaving from the funeral home at 9:30.
