Frances LynchAltoonaMarguerite "Frances" Lynch, 97, of Altoona, died Thursday, March 30, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Services: 12 p.m., Tuesday, April 4th, by Pastor Wendy Musgrave at Merle Hay Funeral Home, with burial to follow. Friends may visit with the family after 10 a.m., until the start of the service at the funeral home.Frances is survived by her two children Gary (Leslee) of Mitchellville and Joann Huffman of Altoona; 8 grandchildren Mike (Tammy), Melissa (Steve Hagstrom) Lester, Steve (Vickie), Chris (Crystal) Huffman, Jeff (Krista) Huffman, Robert (Missy) Huffman, Jodi (Steve) Webb, and Tim (Candy) Miller; 18 great and 20 great-great grandchildren; brother Jim Hughes of Stansberry, MO and sister Marge Dennis of Garden City, MO.She is preceded in death by her husband Earl, sister Helen, brothers Joe and Bob, and great-great grandchildren Hazel Hughes and Cadence Derby.Frances was born on March 25, 1920, in Worth, MO, the daughter of Joseph and Hazel Rybolt Hughes. On December 25, 1935, she married Earl Lynch. Frances spent most of her life as a farm wife. In her later years, she enjoyed reading, quilting, playing cards, and traveling. She owned and ran Care and Keep homes and apartments and was always taking care of somebody.
