Miami-Dade — Frances Crawford, a long-time resident of the Miami-Dade area, died Wednesday the 2nd of January at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Born in 1949 in Perrine, F.L., Frances received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Education from Florida State Universary in 1976. She continued her education at the University of Miami, from which she received her M.Ed. in Nursing in 1982.
Frances taught Nursing at Florida International University at in the mid-1990’s and worked at various psychiatric nursing facilities. In a career shift, she took a position as a librarian assistant at Miami-dade College, Kendall Campus, where she worked until her retirement.
Frances loved good food and socializing, enjoyed going to movies and plays with friends, and had a wonderful smile that could light up a room.
She is survived by her son Glenn Crawford and several grandchildren, all of whom live in Miami-dade, Perrine, F.L., and brought great joy to her later years.
