BLAIS, Fidele Ernest (Phil)1936 – 2016 Fidele went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, November 7, 2016. He is joining his dear wife Helga, who passed away on May 3, 2004. He leaves behind stepson Bernie (Myrna), grandchildren Brett and Maureen, sister Ada, nephew Ken (Karen). He also leaves friend John Knowles. Fidele was born on March 5, 1936 in Edmonton where he spent his formative and early business years. He joined AGT (TELUS) in 1959, transferred to Calgary in 1969, and spent over 31 years in various capacities. Fidele was a proud member of the Calgary South West Lions Club for 40 years, receiving many awards, including the Melvin Jones and Judge Brian Stevenson Fellowships. The family would like to thank all of the staff at the Southwood Care Centre for the excellent care and compassion. A Funeral Service will be held at SOUTH CALGARY FUNERAL CENTRE, 12700 Macleod Trail South (at Lake Fraser Gate), on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to take place at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Edmonton at a later date.
