Fern Franks Ball, 80, of Springville, passed away after an extended illness on Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at Meadow View Senior Living Center, Montrose.She was born on May 7, 1935, in Brass Castle, N.J., to the late William and Mary Catherine (Kelson) Bamford.Surviving are her four children and their spouses, Patricia and William Kelley, Springville, David and Pat Franks, Rush, Mary Catherine and Kendall Berg, Springville, and Ann Marie and James Phillips, Springville;, nine grandchildren, William II (Annemarie) Kelley, Jessica (Jerome) Turner, Nichole Repchick, Joshua Fitch, Phillip (Natasha) McKeon, Dakota (Liz) Berg, Jared Berg, Benjamin, Adam, and Rebecca Phillips; brother and sister-in-Law, Bill and Josephine Bamford, Schroon Lake, N.Y.; 12 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, David Franks; and second husband, Don Ball; her twin sister, Sue; and sisters, Betty and June; three brothers, Kaye, Neil and Dale.Fern was a member of the Springville United Methodist Church, and Circle S. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, and reading. She worked for many years at Procter & Gamble, Mehoopany; Duels Restaurant, Montrose; and The Shop off the Corner, Montrose; as a school bus driver for Elk Lake School; and later at the Walmart in Tunkhannock. Fern was a loving mother and grandmother.Memorial Services were held Thursday, November 19, 2015, at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home, with Pastor Bob Kadlecik of the Bridgewater Baptist Church officiating. Friends called on the family prior to the service. Interment will be in the Maple Shade Cemetery, Springville.
