Evelyn Ayers BradenSewall's Point, FLEvelyn Ayers Braden, 95, joined her husband and eldest child for eternity on January 16, 2017, at her home in Sewall's Point. She was a strong woman raised during the depression with a deep love for her family. She was born on November 4, 1921 in East Troy, PA and lived in Miami before moving to the Martin County area in 1968. She attended Florida Southern prior to holding a multitude of careers: secretary to an Army Air Corps General during WWII, tomato farmer in South Miami, and owner of a local lingerie shop: Mabel's Fancy Lingerie. She was involved in several charities locally, including the Hibiscus Guild. When asked, she considered these accomplishments nothing in comparison to what she considered her greatest: that of raising her children and of her loving marriage. She was a member of the Stuart Congregational Church in Stuart. Survivors include daughters, Christine Braden Bravo (Juan) of Miami and Kathy Braden of Stuart.; son, Daniel Braden (George Ann) of Jensen Beach; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Philip R Braden and their son, Alan Braden, and one grandson, Christopher Bravo.Visitation will be held on Friday, January 20th 5pm-8pm at Aycock Funeral Home, 505 South Federal Highway, Stuart, FL. Services will be held on Saturday, January 21st at 10 a.m. at Stuart Congregational Church, 3110 Aster Lane, Stuart, FL. Interment will be held at Woodlawn Park Cemetery North in Miami on January 21st as well.Memorial contributions may be made to the Hibiscus Children's Center, 2400 N.E. Dixie Highway, Jensen Beach, FL 34957.Arrangements are by Aycock Funeral Home, Stuart.
