Taylor, EvangelineEvangeline "Vangie" Taylor, age 73, New London, formerly of Hortonville passed away on Thursday, March 09, 2017, in Appleton after a courageous battle with leukemia. She was born on January 14, 1944, in Fond du Lac, daughter of the late Roy and Myrtle (Kulow) O'Toole. On August 19, 1963, she was united in marriage to Walter Taylor. Vangie worked at Zwicker Knitting mills in Appleton and for the last 40 years she worked at St. Joseph Residence in New London. Vangie was a very giving person. She enjoyed doing many crafts and was a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, New London. Vangie is survived by her husband Walter; children, Kevin (Peggy) Taylor; Barbie; and David; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister Mary and a brother Jim. She is further survived by brothers-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Alice.Funeral Mass for Vangie will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, New London with Fr. John Kleinschmidt officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.A special thanks to the doctors and staff at Appleton Medical Center and Cherry Meadows Hospice for their care and concern of Vangie. Vangie especially wanted to thank all of her friends at St. Joseph Residence for their support and kindness to her over the years.Walt and children shed no tears as I leave you.
