Ethel M. (Padgett) GaspierikNorth Wales, PA - Ethel M. (Padgett) Gaspierik, 96, wife of Martin S. Gaspierik, died peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Park Creek Place, North Wales, PA. She was a former resident of Hayesville, NC Mrs. Gaspierik was born on November 9, 1920, in Clay County, NC, and was the daughter of the late Glen and Flora (Smith) Padgett. She graduated from Hayesville High School and Lees-McRae college in Banner Elk, NC. She served with the Army Signal Corps at Mystic, CT and trained at the NYA Center in Charlotte, Fort Monmouth, NJ, and Columbus, IN. She was an active member in the Methodist Church and was an artist and an avid painter. She was predeceased by her brothers Garnett, Donald, and Ray, and her sisters Nell, Ernestine, Wilma, and Joyce.In addition to her husband of 67 years, Mrs. Gaspierik is survived by her sister Marie Thomas of Hayesville, NC, and many nieces and nephews.A memorial service is planned at Park Creek Place and the burial will be private.
