Montville - Ervin Richard White Jr., 84, of Uncasville, passed away surrounded by his family, at his home, on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016.He was born on Dec. 25, 1931, in Carthage, Maine. He married his wife, Bernadette (Rheaume) White, in 1960, in Middlebury, Vt.; she survives him.Ervin worked as a chef, welder and handyman. He was an avid reader and golfer. He was a fan of the Red Sox and the Patriots. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.Besides his loving wife, he is survived by a son, Kevin White and his wife, Barbara, of New London; a son, Charles and his wife, Karyn, of Olympia, Wash.; and daughters, Michele Stajduhar and her husband, Michael, of Lithia, Fla., Valerie Espeleta and her husband, Mark, of Danielson and Carolyn Loiacono and her husband, David, of Lacey, Wash. He also leaves behind grandchildren, Samantha, Matthew, Joseph, Mason, Kyle and Brandon; a great-granddaughter, Autumn; a brother, Ben White; and a sister, Jeannine Dubois.The family would like to give a special thanks to Jim and Dawn.Family and friends may visit from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, at the Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen, 53 Norwich New London Tpke., Uncasville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, at St. John the Evangelist Church, 22 Maple Ave., Uncasville.
