Durkee, Eric "Beef"Eric "Beef" Francis Durkee, age 38, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 surrounded by his family.Eric was born on April 26, 1978. He was a graduate of Valders High School, Class of 1996. Eric loved and lived life to the fullest, despite having Cystic Fibrosis. He was an active member of St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz. He enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking meals, and keeping up with his Facebook friends. Eric was a huge Brewer fan and often wanted to have a hotline to the Brewers management so he could phone in his advice. Eric had the best hat and shoe collection and was always dressed impeccably. We will always remember his sense of humor and quick smile. He was the organizer of the family and kept us all on track with appointments and holiday gatherings. Eric especially enjoyed spending time playing games with his nephews Steven and Lincoln and his niece Ella. He was great caretaker of his parents, Richard and Fran, and gave them years of enjoyment. He was a wonderful supportive brother to Shelley, Rich and Kate and will be dearly missed at all family gatherings.Survivors include his parents: Richard and Fran Durkee; Shelley (Durkee) and Peter Mordini, Rich Durkee and Catherine Randell, Kate (Durkee) and Justin Madson. Nephews and nieces: Steven Mordini, Ella Madson, Lincoln Madson, Caitlin Randell and Mathew Randell. Aunts and uncles: Marjorie & Dennis Vedder, Gerald Dukee, Pat Russell and Barb Fetters. Cousins: Cathy Vahary, Lisa Vedder & Stevenson Elcock, Maureen & Ted Gebrard, Molly & Abe Nowlan and Wayne Russell and Sarah Bowler.Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 18, 2017 at St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev.
