Engenio Mateo Brown better known as “Freddy” was born in San Juan Puerto Rico on March 4, 1933. Died inside of his Brooklynn New York home on May 5th, 2019. He leaves his wife Maria Lucy Brown a marriage of 52 years. Two brother’s George and Victor and sister in laws Americus and Carmen. 4 daughters Lillian, Nancy, Diane and Celina and 3 sons Taru, Osman, and Rockman. “Freddy” has plenty of grandchildren who he loved so much. From oldest to youngest Nekia, Malika, Kelly, Tykira, Bianca, Devin, Melmel, Shawn and Bialajah. Plenty of great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Let’s not forget the cousins.

Freddy dedicated himself to Islamic May 1, 1964. In 1991 he had a heart attack and the doctors said he will live the rest of his life in a wheel chair. Freddy was not having that, he was determined to get his health back in order. Freddy did pioneer work. He was very given, kind and loving. He would give you the shirt off his back. Freddy got his education in the New York school system. When her graduated from PS 23 in Brooklynn. He loved to travel, Freddy had no fears! The man was fearless. That smile could bright up the whole room. Freddy will forever live on through the Muriel’s and Brown family. He will truly be missed!
