Elmer "Joe" Joseph Crider III68, of Camden passed away on Thursday November 24, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on July 12th, 1948 in Kokomo, Indiana, the son of the late Elmer Joseph Crider Jr. and Myrtice A. (Gosnell) Crider. On June 17, 1967 in Frankfort, Indiana Joe married Judith K. Carman whom survives him. Joe was a graduate of Frankfort Senior High School and got an Associate's Degree from Ivy Tech College in Heating and Air Conditioning. Joe served his country in the
US Navy during Vietnam. He worked as a maintenance man for Frankfort School Corporation and a maintenance supervisor at Ivy Tech College Joe also was a licensed Auctioneer #AU10000224. He was a member of the Camden United Methodist Church, Christian Life Church in Frankfort, Eagles and the American Legion. Joe loved hunting, fishing, golfing, garage sales and flea markets. Joe at one time owned 16 horses which was his most pleasure.Surviving relatives include his wife of 49 years, son, Elmer Joseph (Cristin) Crider IV of Delphi, daughters, Lora George (Companion Bryan Phillips) of South Carolina, JoJo Woods (companion Terry Shepard) of Camden, sisters, Melody (David) Anderson, Rose (Richard) Henline, Patty Henline, brothers, Chrystopher (Sandy) Crider, Randal (Kathy) Crider, 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.Preceded in death by parents, son, Brent, grandson, Nathan, brothers Clinton and Ronald Crider.Funeral services will be on Tuesday November 29, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel with Pastor Dan Gottschalk officiating with burial to follow at Green Lawn Cemetery, with full military honors. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday November 28, 2016 at Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel.
