Elizabeth (Beth) Amy Giraud went to heaven on Sunday, October 23 after a short battle with complications related to acute myeloid leukemia. She was born on December 21, 1937 in New Jersey to Letitia and Jerry Schnizler. She married Richard Giraud on November 13, 1965. They lived in San Francisco, San Bruno, and Eureka, CA. She and Richard lived in Humboldt County for 38 years before relocating to Sacramento in 2009. Beth was preceded in death by her parents, Letitia and Jerry Schnizler, grandmother Marie Dingee, uncle Bud Dingee, and stepmother Eve Schnizler. She is survived by Richard Giraud, her loving husband of 51 years; daughter Julie (Steve) Nelson of Sacramento, sons Rich (Michelle) of Novato and Tony (Jeny) of McKinleyville, and her 6 grandchildren who were the loves of her life: Bella, Gracie and Gabby Giraud of McKinleyville, Dominic and Joey Giraud of Novato, Carina Nelson of Sacramento, and her favorite Goldendoodle Tucker. She is dearly missed by her sister-in-law Lorraine Miller, nieces Karen Miller and Marie (Glen) Liscom, and leaves behind too many friends to list. Special thanks to Drs. There aren't words to adequately express the sadness we feel at the loss of this incredibly loving, caring, compassionate, funny, hard working, God-loving woman we have been blessed to call "wife, mom, Nonni and friend." We will do our best to honor her by striving to live a life that is a reflection of all that we learned from her.
