Elizabeth A. StuderNEW WASHINGTON: Elizabeth A. Studer, age 86, resident of New Washington, Ohio passed away at her home on Friday, March 3, 2017. She was born on June 5, 1930 in Galion, Ohio to the late Anthony and Marie (Miller) Kohls and had been a resident of New Washington since 1950. She was a 1949 graduate of Galion High School, where she was a former homecoming queen. Elizabeth enjoyed cooking, baking, and was a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother.She is survived by her husband, Ralph C. Studer, whom she married on August 12, 1950; seven children, Donna (William) Durtschi, David Studer, Thomas Studer (Michele), Diana Williams, Christina (David) Boehler, Tim (Susan) Studer, and Jennifer (Mark) Dornbirer; nineteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; three brothers, Lawrence Kohls, Robert Kohls and Tom Kohls; five sisters, Mary Yetzer, Dorothy Beach, Louise Eitzen, Barbara Winely, and Ann DeNero; and numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Studer; a daughter, Brenda Studer; two brothers, William and Francis Kohls; and a sister, Rita Reed.Friends were received at St. Bernard Catholic Church in New Washington, Ohio on Monday, March 6, 2017 from 10:00 AM to Twelve Noon, where the Funeral Mass was celebrated at Noon with Father Eric Culler officiating. Burial followed at St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery in New Washington. Memorial contributions may be made to Homecare Matters Hospice of Galion.
