Elisa's love of her family and for cooking delicious meals did not end with her death. Her favorite recipes will live on in the hands of her children and grandchildren. Elisa was born on March 16, 1939 in Cañada de Caracheo, Guanajuato Mexico to Enrique Frias Gallardo and Domitila Granados Peña, she later moved to Ojo Sarco, Guanajuato Mexico. She married Antonio Contreras Soto at the age of 14 in Cortazar, Guanajuato 1953. She was able to stay home to raise their 9 children. She and Antonio started a restaurant out of their home "Cenaduria Contreras" in 1981. The business flourished to include Mexican antojitos, a convenience store and selling a variety of homemade foods. She moved to Kuna, Idaho in 2006 to live closer to her children and began working at Enrique's Mexican Restaurant in Kuna, her son's place. Her job at the restaurant consisted of preparing fresh homemade salsa daily and making fresh tortillas on the buffet days. As you can see, her love for cooking was something that was very much a part of her life and that is just one of the reasons why she will be missed.
